My Voyage (The Itinerary)
As the central hub of the app, the itinerary brought together everything guests planned, booked events, dining, spa sessions, and more.
It acted like a personalized calendar, evolving as users explored and signed up for experiences.
I led the design of this space, crafting a clear, engaging layout that made each day feel both organized and full of possibilities.

Vibe Prototyping //
To shape the itinerary experience, I used vibe prototyping to explore different moods, layouts, and interaction patterns.
This was to quickly test and compare visual directions, from minimal calendar-like views to more expressive, content-rich layouts, until we found a tone that felt uniquely Virgin: playful, bold, and intuitive.
The TV Experience
We designed to deliver an elegant, on-demand entertainment experience. Cruisers could browse and stream a curated selection of films, shows, and Virgin Voyages content directly from their in-room TVs.
The interface was optimized for remote navigation, with smooth transitions, bold visuals, and an intuitive layout that made it feel both premium and familiar, turning every cabin into a personal entertainment hub.

Before Figma’s collaborative libraries became standard, I led the design system initiative for this multi-platform experience using Sketch and Abstract.
Sketch lacked real-time collaboration or shared libraries, so I built a centralized system through Abstract’s version control. I introduced a governance model where, at the end of each sprint, the team reviewed designs, surfaced patterns, aligned on decisions, and pushed updates to the library, keeping everyone's files in sync.
This setup also made it easy for copywriters to create branches, update content, and test tone and messaging without interrupting the design workflow.
It was a hands-on, principle-led effort that brought consistency and structure to a complex, fast-moving project.
Outcome
Although the project launch was delayed due to the global impact of COVID-19 and my contract concluded before final rollout, we delivered a fully realized, cross-platform design ecosystem, setting a new standard for the cruising experience.
From guest-facing mobile and TV interfaces to wearable-driven services and crew tools, the work reflected a holistic vision of what modern, tech-forward cruising could become. It was a future-ready experience built to delight, adapt, and scale.
